President’s Message

Dr. George Kakkanatt

Hon’ble President

Greetings,

It is my honor to welcome you to the South Indian US Chamber of Commerce.

Together with my fellow Board of Directors and members, we began this journey fifteen years ago with a clear vision and strong determination. Today, we proudly celebrate our 15th anniversary as a well-established and fine-tuned organization serving our vibrant community. As we mark this important milestone, we look forward with enthusiasm to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Our Chamber was founded by nine visionaries who believed that strong leadership was essential to coordinate and organize efforts that would bring together existing and new businesses, while also supporting aspiring and potential business owners. Their vision continues to guide us today.

Our Chamber is built upon three core pillars that define our mission: to represent, serve, and connect present and future members in building and sustaining a thriving business community. We call these our ABCs: Advocate, Benefit, and Connect.

Advocate
We advocate on behalf of businesses, particularly within our local community. We listen carefully to the concerns and challenges facing our members and work closely with community leaders and decision-makers to ensure your voice is heard.

Benefit
We provide a variety of meaningful benefits to our members, including opportunities to promote your business and access educational programs focused on business growth and leadership development. One of the greatest benefits of membership is the opportunity to engage with like-minded leaders who share a commitment to excellence and community progress.

Connect
We host events that foster strong relationships within our business community. Our gatherings regularly include elected officials—both local and international—as well as influential business and community leaders. Our Chamber luncheons focus on timely and relevant topics that impact our members and the broader business landscape.

Beyond business, we strongly believe in community building and serving society at large. We actively reach out to those in need both within our local community and in India. Over the years, we have helped build homes for families in need and supported a village by providing goats as an income-generating initiative to promote sustainable livelihoods. Giving back remains an essential part of who we are.

We have had the honor of welcoming many distinguished dignitaries to our corporate office from political, social, and business fields. Our 10th Anniversary celebration drew one of the largest crowds in the city, reflecting the strength and unity of our community. We also work closely with local chambers and partner organizations to further strengthen our collective impact.

If you are new to the community or new to doing business here, we warmly welcome you. Please introduce yourself to me or any member of our Board—we want you to feel included and supported from day one.

For all members, there are many ways to get involved. We especially value participation and insight within our committees. Every member is welcome to attend and contribute to these discussions.

I encourage you to share your feedback—your expectations, suggestions, and ideas on how we can better serve and promote our local business community. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time.

Our Chamber has a proud tradition of helping members grow their businesses, leverage networking opportunities, benefit from sponsorship visibility, and, most importantly, generate referrals and new business through trusted relationships.

I sincerely acknowledge our dedicated members, our steadfast Board of Directors, and the strong support of our civic and elected officials. Our Chamber is truly on the move. Every plan and initiative we undertake is centered on increasing member value—from monthly networking meetings and special events to enhanced communications and resources.

We remain committed to being a trusted and valued resource worthy of your continued participation and support.

With warm regards,
Dr. George Kakkanatt
President
