Greetings!
It’s my honor to welcome all to the South Indian US Chamber of Commerce. Together with my fellow Board of Directors and Members, we began our journey 10 years ago and now into a fine-tuned organization within the community. We celebrate the 10th anniversary of the chamber this year, let’s look forward to the upcoming challenges and opportunities that arise
Our Chamber has three pillars which help guide and direct our mission, which is to represent, serve, and connect present and future members to build and sustain a thriving business community. These three pillars are also known as our ABC’s – Advocate, Benefit, Connect.
Advocate: We advocate on behalf of businesses, particularly those in our local community. It means we listen to the concerns and challenges that our business community faces and interact with concerned to share this voice with our community’s leaders.
Benefit: We have a variety of unique benefits for our members, such as opportunities to promote business, education on business and leadership topics. There is also the sheer benefit of connecting with other like-minded leaders within our community bringing us to our last pillar…
Connect: We host events and create opportunities to connect members within our community. Our events regularly include our elected officials from here as well as from abroad, along with other business leaders. We also create our Chamber luncheons around communicating relevant topics within our business community.
If you are new to the community or to doing business, we welcome you! Please introduce yourself to me or other board members. We want you to feel welcomed and included. For all members, there are plenty of ways to become involved. We particularly value input and advice within our committees. All members are welcome to attend and join in the discussions.
I am excited to reach out to all members and ask for feedback on your expectations of the chamber, and what comments and suggestion you may have for us to better promote and serve the local business community. Alike, please reach out to me at any time to offer more comments and suggestions.
Our Chamber has a rich tradition of helping members build their businesses, capitalize on the numerous networking opportunities, benefit from the sponsorship of our major events, and, most importantly, realize referrals and new business from each other.
I acknowledge our strong base of dedicated members, our steadfast Board of Directors and the support of significant civic and elected governmental officials. Truly our Chamber is on the move. Our plans and activities will always be directed toward increasing member value. From networking monthly meetings, to special events, to communications, we will strive to be a valued resource worthy of your continued participation and support.
With Warm Regards
Gigi Olickan
